So just what is an apprenticeship? Read on to find out how you can learn and work towards a qualification at the same time!

Apprenticeships

An apprenticeship is a special way for kids to learn and grow in a job they love! 

It's like going to school, but you also work with people who are really good at what they do. You learn by doing things and getting hands-on experience. 

Imagine if you love to make things, you could become an apprentice to car maker and learn to build cars like a pro!  

It's a fun and exciting way to become a master at something you're passionate about. As you get older, you might choose to become an apprentice and start your journey to become an expert in your dream job!

Intermediate level Apprenticeships

This type of apprenticeship is a level 2 course and could be taken instead of GCSEs or Nationals (in Scotland).

Advanced level Apprenticeships

This type of apprenticeship is a level 3 course and could be taken instead of  A-levels, T-Levels or Highers (in Scotland).

Higher level Apprenticeships

This type of apprenticeship is a level 4-7 course and could be taken at after you leave school.  It could be taken instead of a degree.

Degree or Diploma Apprenticeships

This type of apprenticeship is a level 6-7 course.

You'll work and study for a degree too, it can help you to earn money whilst you learn and get lots of experience at the same time.

Applying/finding an apprenticeships

Applying for an apprenticeship is like applying for a job.

Companies will advertise the openings that they have you apply with your CV, a cover letter and fill in an application form.
