Ayo Sokale - Civil Engineer

What does it really mean to be an Engineer? Is there one type of Engineer? And what do they do all day? Meet Ayo who would like to tell you about her job and what its like to be an engineer.

Ayo is a Chartered Engineer, but also a presenter, actress, former Councillor and Deputy Mayor. She has been nominated for major awards including 'Top 50 women in Engineering' and the 'Enginuity Skills Award for Diversity and Inclusion'.

Ayo believes that there's Engineering in everything and she want to tell you how Engineers shape the world around us.

Ayo has worked on major projects that develop our infrastructure (buildings and transport networks) and our community spaces, and she currently works for the Environment Agency.
