A satellite that cleans up rubbish!

Did you know that thousands of pieces of space debris (rubbish) are floating around in space? They could crash into satellites or space craft at any time costing billions of pounds of damage. So what can be done about it? Swiss scientists have developed a satellite that will collect the rubbish and store it safely to clean up our space.

Imagine satellites high up in the sky that are like space superheroes, cleaning up rubbish from our Earth.

These special satellites have big nets and arms that reach out to capture rubbish floating in space. It's like they're giving our planet a big cosmic hug!

The satellites are really smart too. They use sensors and cameras to spot all the rubbish and then zoom over to pick it up. Once they have the rubbish in their nets, they can bring it back to Earth or even send it far away into space where it can't harm our planet anymore.

These rubbish-collecting satellites are like our space protectors, making sure our skies stay clean and safe.

So, the next time you look up at the stars, know that there are satellites up there, being space heroes and helping to keep our Earth tidy and beautiful!
