Making rubbish into soil

We all make waste from the food we eat – so how can this be used to make soil that can then be used to grow more plants. These future thinking ideas make sure that less waste goes into landfill and more is used again. Great idea! Do you recycle as much of your food waste as you can?

Did you know that we can turn rubbish into valuable soil?

It's like magic! This special process is called "composting."

Instead of throwing away food scraps like fruit peels, vegetable leftovers, and even paper, we can collect them in a compost bin. Then, with the help of tiny creatures like worms and microorganisms, all the rubbish breaks down and turns into nutrient-rich soil.

It's like giving the Earth a big hug! This fantastic soil is called "compost," and it's like a superhero for plants. When we sprinkle compost in our gardens or on plant beds, the plants become super happy and grow really strong and healthy.

Composting not only helps us reduce waste but also gives us wonderful soil to grow more yummy fruits and veggies. So remember, even rubbish can become something fantastic and useful with the power of composting!

Let's be composting heroes and help the Earth be healthy and green!
